In a full classroom, nobody can hear every child sound out a word. Here, one tutor hears every sound your child makes, for 30 minutes at a time.
Reading starts with sounds. A child who mixes up “b” and “d” needs someone listening closely enough to notice, and in a one-on-one lesson on a video call, the tutor hears it and works on it there and then. Four levels take a child from their first letter sounds to reading storybooks, on a curriculum by Simply Learns.
You log your child on with the link we send, and the tutor takes it from there. You don't need to sit in. All they need is a laptop or tablet with a camera and microphone, and a quiet spot for 30 minutes. The usual pace is 3 lessons a week. You pay for lessons, not months, so at 2 a week the course takes longer and the price stays the same.

What if we can only manage two lessons a week?
That's fine. You pay for lessons, not months, so the course takes longer and the price stays the same. Growing Readers, for example, is about 70 lessons: roughly 23 weeks at 3 a week, or 35 weeks at 2.
